Abuko Nature Reserve is the oldest protected wildlife reserve in The Gambia and one of the country’s best places to experience nature. The reserve is a lush forest surrounded by savannah and wetlands, making it a paradise for wildlife and bird lovers. Walking trails lead visitors through thick vegetation where you may see green vervet monkeys, patas monkeys, antelopes, crocodiles, and dozens of bird species.
